The NEW Festival Theatre at Hever Castle
2024 is a very exciting year for The Festival Theatre at Hever Castle as the build begins on the new fully covered theatre, ready to open on The Two Sisters’ Lawn for the start of our main Season in May.
Come rain or shine if you have a seat in the auditorium, you will enjoy the entertainment without influence from the elements!
The theatre is a new structure with one continuous roof, every seat undercover. The roof section over the auditorium will be transparent so you will be able to enjoy the sun or stars.
The stage area will be green, and the tent will blend in more successfully with the beautiful gardens around it.
The season is even fuller than before with many of new artists and events. This includes; The History Festival at Hever Castle. Working with the Castle curatorial team and Dr Owen Emmerson, this is our first ever deep-dive into Tudor history with four days of events. Our partnership with Chiddingstone Castle continues with The Circus of Curiosities a joyous afternoon of curious circus acts, the opportunity to work on your circus skills too in our skills workshops and Chiddingstone Castle have teamed with us to create a Curious Trail through the Castle museum.
Festival Favourites dominate the season with dazzling tribute music nights, jazz, opera, plays, family shows, comedy and The Last Night of the Hever Proms. View the FULL SEASON LINE-UP here.
We all know the festival had a most trying year in 2023, turning 40 certainly took its toll. Attending our exciting series of fundraiser events is an excellent way to support the festival. We have an excellent line-up of festival artists working with us who have willingly offered their brilliance in support of the festival for which we are hugely touched and extremely grateful.
The Box Office opens, as always, with our Festival Friends, Hever Castle Members and Golf Club Members priority booking period with Public Sales opening on Monday 18th March. Full Details
